It’s never too early for students to start thinking about their next steps after leaving Melbourn Village College. Parents and carers of all Year 11 students are warmly invited to our Post‑16 Information Evening at the end of September. The event includes a presentation on the Post‑16 application process, followed by the opportunity to speak directly with representatives from local sixth‑form colleges.
We also support students in developing strong CVs through a wide range of enrichment opportunities. These include sports leadership, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, character development activities, and targeted career‑focused experiences delivered through our MVC Futures Programme.
Our careers provision is benchmarked against national and international standards to ensure high‑quality guidance for every student. We provide independent, personalised careers advice to all KS4 students in receipt of the student premium, and to other students wherever possible. Our approach is rooted in the belief that every young person matters equally and deserves fair access to high‑quality support.
