Melbourn Village College is a true community school at the heart of Melbourn village, proud to be part of The Cam Academy Trust. Since opening in 1959 and joining the Trust in 2013, we have served South Cambridgeshire with over 600 students aged 11–16.
We believe in Excellence for All—the idea that every young person can thrive, achieve, and succeed. Our values of Kindness, Curiosity, and Resilience guide daily life in the College. Kindness is shown through respect and care for others, curiosity through a love of learning and exploration, and resilience through perseverance and strength in the face of challenges.
Our curriculum is broad, ambitious, and designed to inspire. Over five years, pupils build strong foundations of knowledge and skills while being encouraged to question, explore, and grow. We want every student to leave Melbourn Village College with both the character and the currency to take their next steps confidently—whether in further education, training, or employment.
As a Village College, we are proud to serve not only our pupils but also the wider community. We run an active adult education programme and welcome local groups and organisations to use our excellent facilities outside of school hours.
Above all, we are a welcoming and inclusive school where every child feels valued and supported. By fostering collaboration, respect, and belonging, we prepare our students to flourish as compassionate, capable citizens in a global society.
We warmly invite you to explore our website, learn more about our school, and arrange a visit—our doors are always open, and we would be delighted to welcome you.
